Abstract

The aim of this paper is to propose a way of explaining and tracing the urban dynamics in order to evaluate the microclimate in a particular territory, and to manage and manipulate the process of urban evolution. It may be used as a tool for detection and explanation of some of the existing problems and phenomena in the structure of a city. The proposed model outlines two extreme examples of urban formation: emergent and planned scenarios. The flows of humans and goods, caused by the activity of the urban cores, are based on the subconscious collective optimization, visualizing the existing field conditions in the city. The suggested research into urban evolution and its features tends to reveal the most sufficient characteristics of global urban development.
